Approach

A written rule, or no trade at all.

The programme is a set of rules that were tested before they went live. The job of the people is to keep the machine honest.

What we trade

Liquid, listed US and European equities.

Nothing illiquid, nothing private, no digital assets. Everything in the portfolio can be priced and sold on an exchange on any trading day.

How a decision is made

Four steps, in order, every time.

  1. A hypothesis is written as a rule.
  2. The rule is tested against history.
  3. The rule ships to the execution system, or it doesn't.
  4. The system trades it. Nobody intervenes.

The cycle

Four steps, every month, in the same order.

Momentum systems rotate the portfolio into the strongest listed names, and step aside when the market as a whole weakens.

1

Filter the universe

Rules-based screens decide which shares are eligible at all: liquidity, listing, data quality.

2

Rank by strength

Momentum metrics rank the survivors. The strongest rise to the top of the list.

3

Enter and exit on schedule

Positions rotate at set dates. No chasing, no intraday decisions.

4

Watch the whole market

An index filter reduces exposure in a down regime. This is the step that protects capital.

Risk

Position size is a formula, not a judgement.

Exposure limits are coded and cannot be raised intraday. Listed equities fall, sometimes for years; the rules reduce exposure in bad regimes but cannot remove it. Capital invested with any manager, including us, can be lost.

What we don't do.

  • 01No discretionary override.
  • 02No client-directed trades.
  • 03No third-party products.
  • 04No leverage. No margin, no derivatives for exposure.
